Siamese Cat Coat Types

One of the most striking cat breeds the siamese has unusual coat colors and variations that only enhance their visual appeal.

Siamese cat coat types. You ve seen them before. They have a base of white or cream but their face paws and tails are darker in color. All siamese cat breeds have a creamy coat with colored points. Lilac point is the light grey siamese cat.

Melanin will be active in cooler. These points are located on their snouts ears paws and tails. The beauty of their fur is the point of color. Cream or ivory fur is more common than orange.

This is still generally true of ordinary pet cats or moggies which are usually described as domestic shorthaired cats or domestic longhaired cats. Besides the specific family the siamese cat also comes in five different coat styles. This mutation inhibits the production of melanin which produces color in areas of normal body temperatures. Cream point is the cat with cream colored or light orange fur.

This beautiful color is very common but it should be noted that the fur of siamese cats darkens with age. All of them have short silky fur however.
